The provider has been around for many years and it has been updated and bug fixes were made based on user submissions and bug reports. However, the projects has been beaten off the track. So why now?
There are many enhancements in the provider now that you’ll find useful like:
Better support for resources in MVC.WebAPI.
New DbRes helper class that allows direct access to resources bypassing ResourceProviders.
Improve strongly-typed resource genration
and much more.
There have been speculations that Database resources slow down the system. Â Well, not really. Yes, resources are loaded from the database but they are loaded only once per ResourceSet.
