Internet Explorer To Block Outdate ActiveX Versions

ActiveX blocking capabilities will be making their way to Internet Explorer stating August 12.  According to the report, August 12 will be the date when ActiveX blocking capabilities will start to appear for the updated IE8, IE9, and IE11 browsers running on Windows 7 service pack along with IE10 and IE11 on Windows8/8.1.

This new capability will address the long running complaint against ActiveX which could be a major security vulnerability on itself, and the organizations using IE and other individuals browsing the web using IE.

This approach is not different to the IEs current browsing experience, except this new approach blocks outdated ActiveX controls.
